TV actors Karan Sharma and Pooja Singh officially became a married couple on the evening of March 30 in Mumbai. Their wedding ceremony, held in the presence of close friends and family, was intimate and heartfelt.
Although it was known publicly that they were to be married on this day, the first wedding video of the couple has now surfaced on social media, quickly going viral with fans showering them with well-wishes and congratulations. Interestingly, Karan and Pooja have not shared any of their wedding photos or videos on social media yet. The couple looked stunning in traditional red and maroon-colored outfits on their special day. They exchanged rings before the jaimala ceremony, where Karan lovingly placed the jaimala around Pooja’s neck, followed by hugs and kisses amidst cheers from the guests. Notable actors from Sharma’s show ‘Sasural Simar Ka 2’ and Singh’s shows ‘Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal’ and ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ were present to bless the newlyweds.
The wedding festivities for Karan and Pooja commenced on March 29, 2024. The mehendi ceremony kicked off the celebrations, with Pooja donning gorgeous green attire and getting her mehndi done. Karan also graced the occasion with his presence, making it even more special as Singh got a design of Karan’s face on her mehndi.
Their Sangeet ceremony was a grand event filled with stars. The couple’s mesmerizing performance stole the show, while actors like Neelu Waghela, who played Bhabo in ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum,’ shared their joy for the newlyweds. The cast of ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ and actors such as Ashi Singh and Helly Shah added to the charm of the evening with their performances.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Pooja revealed that their meeting was more of an arranged setup facilitated by a mutual friend for matrimonial purposes. Despite working in the same production house for years, the two had never crossed paths until then.
Pooja shared her thoughts, saying, “It was quite unexpected. It seems quite dreamy as we both belong to the same industry and have been working for almost a decade but have never met. We both simultaneously worked with Rashami Sharma Productions and used to shoot in the same studio, but we never met.”
She further added, “Even during the pandemic, the cast of both shows were staying at the same hotel, but we never crossed paths. It was when a common friend made us meet. It is more of an arranged marriage set-up. It feels surreal and like we were destined to be together.”
Karan Sharma is known for his roles in shows like Sasural Simar Ka 2, Udaariyaan, Mohi, and Ek Nayi Pehchaan, while Pooja Singh has showcased her acting skills in shows like Diya Aur Baati Hum, Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal, and Shakti: Astitva Ke Ehsaas, among others.
