NEW DELHI: Ace India pacer Jasprit Bumrah garnered praise from all quarters for his stunning comeback to international cricket as he bagged man of the match award in the first T20I against Ireland on Friday. He returned impressive figures of 2/24 in 4 overs.
Speaking on his fitness, the right-arm pacer says his body is in good shape and his confidence is getting back after being careful initially.
“The body is good, was a little careful in the beginning and then after that kept on building confidence and it was good,” Bumrah said after losing the toss in the second T20I on Sunday.

Leading the second-string side for the three-match series, Bumrah reckons that captaining the team works in your favour.
“When you are captaining, you are not thinking about yourself, you are thinking about others. Probably that sometimes works in your favour that you are looking after everyone and your performance takes care of itself,” Bumrah said after the first game.
