NEW DELHI: Sarfaraz Khan‘s wait to earn a maiden India call up has finally ended as the Mumbai batter has been named in the squad for the second Test against England, set to take place in Vizag from February 2.
The selection committee has added Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan, left-arm spinner Sourabh Kumar and all-rounder Washington Sundar to the squad after Ravindra Jadeja and batter KL Rahul ruled out of the second match owing to injuries.

Jadeja picked up a hamstring injury while attempting a quick single on Sunday, while Rahul reported pain in his right quadriceps.
Expressing happiness over his Mumbai teammate’s well-deserved call up, Suryakumar Yadav took to his Instagram story to extend his wishes to Sarfaraz.
The top-ranked T20I batter Surya posted a picture along with Sarfaraz and wrote a caption, “Happiest here. Man India call up. Utsav ki taiyaarrii karo.”
Later on, Sarfaraz shared Surya’s post on his Instagram handle.
Sarfaraz has earned his first national call-up after amassing a significant number of runs in domestic cricket, particularly in the recent India A series against England Lions.
