Rupali Ganguly shared that she never received an award until the TV show Anupamaa came into her life.

Rupali Ganguly is an Indian actress best known for her roles as Monisha Sarabhai in the sitcom Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Anupamaa Joshi in the drama Anupamaa. The actress started her acting career at the age of 7 with a role in the 1985 film Saaheb. She is a talented actress who has made a significant contribution to the Indian entertainment industry by breaking down stereotypes about women’s roles in society.

However, the drama show ‘Anupamaa’, which has become one of the most popular television shows in India, made her a household name and earned her much appreciation in her career. In the show, Rupali Ganguly portrays the role of a middle-aged woman who decides to start a new life after her husband cheats on her and divorces her. The storyline of the show has been critically acclaimed for its strong female characters and its positive portrayal of women’s empowerment.

Recently, the actress bagged the Iconic Gold Awards 2024 for Best Actress in the popular TV show Anupamaa. Upon winning the award, the bong beauty, while speaking to a media person, shared that she never received an award until the drama TV show Anupama came into her life. She said, “I never got an award earlier. After doing so many shows and playing iconic roles in Sarabhai VS Sarabhai, Sanjeevani, and many more, I never won an award individually. I didn’t even receive an award during my school days. But, because of Anupamaa, from the time the show came into my life, I have been getting this award and recognition all over the country.”

At the awards night, Rupali Ganguly made the aww-dorable entry with her son and mother. She donned a beautiful purple-hued banarasi saree with a broad golden-hued border and intricate patchwork throughout its length. The diva paired the saree with a matching full-sleeved high-collar blouse and completed her glam look with neutral makeup and pink glossy lips. While Rupali’s mother was seen styled in a beautiful gold and beige-hued saree, her son looked dashing in a multi-coloured hoodie and beige trousers.

Notably, the Iconic Gold Awards 2024 took place in Mumbai on February 1. The most-awaited awards night unfolded with prominent celebs, including Kartik Aaryan, Rakul Preet Singh, Adah Sharma, Hina Khan, Maniesh Paul, Manoj Bajpayee, and Rupali Ganguly, among others, who made heads turn with their captivating appearance and charisma on the red carpet.
