The intriguing clip posted by Kusha Kapila features the popular influencer as she removes ‘kadi patta’ from every dish she eats.

Mumbai delicacies are incomplete without kadi patta (curry leaves). The ones who have been to the City of Dreams would be well-versed with the usage of these particular leaves for the preparation of almost every dish. While people have their opinions reserved on the kadi patta, popular influencer and actor Kusha Kapila has a hilarious take on the same. The Instagram influencer recently dropped a funny video on her handle highlighting Mumbai’s obsession with this kitchen ingredient.

The intriguing clip posted by Kusha Kapila features the popular influencer as she removes kadi patta from every dish she eats. She hilariously portrays the extensive use of the staple in dishes including upma, curry, soup, curd rice, and chaas. As Kusha continued to separate the ingredient from her meals, the song Mai Yaha Hoon from the film Veer Zaara played in the background, adding sarcasm to the funny video. Sharing the video, the Selfiee actress wrote, “Kadi patta supremacy.”

The video posted a few days back, has raked in more than 8 million views so far and prompted reactions from users who seemed quite excited about sharing similar experiences in the other parts of the country. A user shared, “I had curry leaves in a noodle bowl in Bangalore. It was hilarious.” Another revealed the same experience when she shifted to Mumbai and commented on the video, “Hahaha experienced the same when I shifted to Mumbai 10 years ago and now I am so used to it.” A third quipped saying, “We desi people use curry patta only to remove it later.”

Coming back to Kusha Kapila, the popular content creator, recently received the ‘Social Impact Influencer Of The Year’ award in New Delhi on Saturday. She was honoured by Union Minister Smriti Irani. To make the moment memorable, Kusha recalled the impact of Smriti Irani’s iconic character Tulsi in the TV series Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi on her family and said, “In our family 12-15 people used to cry when Tulsi would cry on TV. Our neighbours would ask what happened.”
