Jim Sarbh’s Early Life

Born on August 27 in Mumbai, Jim belongs to a Parsi family. His mother is a retired physiotherapist while his father is a former master mariner and the Regional Director of P&O Ports South and Middle East Asia.

After completing his graduation in Psychology from the US, Jim started his acting career with theatre in Atlanta, US where he appeared in plays like The Show, The Breakup, and others.

Later, after shifting to Mumbai he worked in renowned actor-director Rajat Kapoor’s play What’s Done Is Done and Kalki Koechlin’s Living Room.

He made his big screen debut in 2016 with director Ram Madhvani’s biographical drama film Neerja, co-starring Sonam Kapoor.

He also bagged the IIFA Best Actor in a Negative Role award for his performance in Neerja.

After that, he appeared in several big projects such as Death In The Gunj, Raabta, Padmaavat, Gangubai Kathiawadi, and others.

In 2023, he was also nominated in the Best Performance By an Actor category at the International Emmy Awards for his role in the hit web show Rocket Boys.
