Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11: Juhi Chawla Talks About The ‘Cheapest’ Gift Aamir Khan Gave Her

Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 recently celebrated the illustrious career of Bollywood veteran Juhi Chawla with a special episode titled Jashn Juhi Ka. The episode served as a heartfelt tribute to the actress, celebrating her profound contributions to Indian cinema, and was adorned with enchanting dance performances by the finalists, set to the tunes of her ’90s hits. During the episode, Juhi delved into anecdotes about her relationships with co-stars Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. She also shared some intriguing revelations about her personal life.

Reflecting on her shooting days with Farah Khan, Juhi humorously remarks, “Farah ji se sabhine kabhi na kabhi daant khayi hai” (Everyone has been scolded by Farah ji at some point). Farah promptly refutes the claim, asserting she never scolded Juhi. Juhi recalls, “I remember when Farah used to come on the sets while we were rehearsing, she would take the mic and say: What rubbish is all this?” To which Farah clarifies, “I used to say this to Shah Rukh, not Juhi.” Juhi then concludes, “Shah Rukh must see this show.”

Farah then asks Juhi about the cheapest gift she has received from celebrities. Juhi candidly discloses, “You want me to say the name? It was Aamir Khan. This was when we had just become stars. It was my birthday and, in the evening, Aamir called and said he would come home. He came home to wish me and everyone in my house was excited. He sat and removed a small chocolate for me and said that is my gift.”

Juhi was impressed by Adrija and Akash’s captivating performance of her hit song Ae Mere Humsafar. Following their stunning rendition, Juhi shared an intriguing detail about her personal life. She opened up about her husband, Jay Mehta, and their pre-marriage romance. The actress disclosed that Jay used to write letters to her every day, a tradition that has now evolved into emails and WhatsApp messages over the years. Juhi reminisced about how she and Jay initially met at a dinner, and he started hovering around her. She fondly recalled a special birthday surprise when Jay sent her a truck full of red roses. Interestingly, it took Juhi a year to finally say ‘YES’ to him.

In the Falooda with Farah segment, the camaraderie continued as Farah questioned Juhi about any married actors falling for her. Juhi responded with a smile and navigated the question diplomatically. However, Farah persisted and asked if she ever fell in love with a married actor. Arshad humorously interjected, saying, “That time, Juhi mustn’t have told that person.”
