Google Search is down for some users: All details about the outage

Google Search seems to be down for some users globally. People claim that they are unable to access Google search since around 8:20 pm IST. According to DownDetector — the platform that shows problems with online services globally — a limited number of users in India have been affected, with 78 reports at peak time. However, globally over 1400 reports have been registered.
The hotspots for the outage in India are Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru. At the time of writing, the number of reports dropped down to 32. No member from The Times of India team experienced any problem during the mentioned hours.
On a global level, however, reports of the outage peaked at around 8.30 pm with 1,421 people claiming problems in accessing the platform on the web. About 63% people complained about having problems with Search, 30% with Google website and 7% with Google Drive.
“502. That’s an error. The server encountered a temporary error and could not complete your request. Please try again in 30 seconds. That’s all we know,” the error message shows.
Google has not acknowledged the outage and it doesn’t seem to be a widespread problem – at least in India.

Social media abuzz with Google Down photos, memes

As happens when any online service is down, “Google Down” started to trend on X (formerly Twitter). While some users began sharing screenshots of errors, others took the opportunity to turn the event into a meme. A user said it was time for everyone to move to Microsoft Bing.
