Gauri Pradhan 'had fights everyday with the scheduler' on Kutumb set; supports Radhika Madan's statement about tough life of TV actors

Gauri Pradhan was in no mood to mince words in a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan. The actress, who has done several popular shows on television including Kutumb, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Tu Aashiqui among several others, opened up about the tough life that actors who work for the small screen lead.
During the chat, when Gauri was asked about her take on Radhika Madan‘s statement about television shoots being very tedious with no time for preparation and end minute changes in script, Gauri took no time to agree with her.
Recalling her own experience of working in films and TV, she said, “When you do a television show, even if you do one show for a long time, and then you do a movie, it’s like a cake walk. It’s like you are on a holiday. It’s so easy and breezy that there is no issue…”
Gauri also revealed that she used to walk out of the sets of Kutumb in which she starred with her husband Hiten Tejwani quite often. She even had fights with the scheduler for she’d arrive on time and wanted to leave on time as well.
She added, ” I had fights every day with the scheduler. That was very common… I was known for coming on time and leaving on time. In Kutumb, I used to wear a wig for my long hair. So at 9 pm, everyone would start looking at each other because at 9 o’ clock, I would just take off the wig, give it, and leave in the middle of the shot also because if I have come on time I earn the right to leave on time.”
This unfortunately led her to get the tag of somebody who is ‘a big snob, snooty and very difficult to work with’. However, despite all the fights, she’d still report back to work.
Gauri also said that life of TV actors isn’t easy at all as they get no breather. “That is all that you are doing! I am not complaining, but you are only shooting. There is no social life, there is no family life, there is no me time, there is nothing. You go home, you eat, you sleep and you come back the next morning so it’s tough.”
