Despite facing challenges due to his personal life during his time in the house, Munawar found support from his followers and loved ones, ensuring he didn’t lose hope and ultimately earned the winners title. The victory turned into a double celebration as the finale happened on Munawar’s birthday, leading to a grand celebration with friends immediately after his exit from the show. While Munawar’s sister, Amrin Shaikh, joined the celebration on the set, many awaited for the reunion with his son, Mikhail. A heartwarming video circulating on the internet captures the father-son duo cutting a cake together.
The video shows the emotional reunion of standup comedian with his son after being apart for 3 months. In the video, Munawar is seen holding his son close and sharing a special moment while cutting a cake. As the video progresses, the Bigg Boss 17 winner is also seen feeding a small piece of cake to his son. The adorable interaction between father and son is getting all the love from his fans. Apart from his son, the celebration is also joined by his friends and family at his home.
In the thrilling finale of Bigg Boss 17, the makers kept the audience on the edge of their seats until the last minute. In the end, Munawar Faruqui emerged as the ultimate winner. Abhishek Kumar, a strong contender throughout the season, claimed the first runner up position, followed by Mannara Chopra as the second runner up. Ankita Lokhande secured the 4th position and Arun Mashetty took the 5th spot. Ankita’s husband, Vicky Jain, a fan favorite, was evicted just a week before the grand finale.
After being declared the winner, Munawar faced allegations from some who claimed he was the fixed winner. In a press interview immediately after the finale, when ETimes questioned about these accusations, Munawar said, “Yaar fixed winner ko itna sab go through karna pade toh it can’t be a fixed winner. If I would have been a fixed winner I would have got everything on a platter. I’ve got nothing on a platter, I’ve worked hard and a lot. My answer to people who are calling me a fixed winner is just sit and watch the entire season and you will realise that it wasn’t fixed.”
“People can have that feeling because when you have a strong fanbase, and you do such reality shows a lot of things are at stake and you lose a few things. To win things then you give it your best. People who are calling me a fixed winner can’t change their opinion. Maybe before going to Bigg Boss I would have wanted to change perceptions but now I feel I can’t change everyone,” he added.
Munawar Faruqui not only won the winner’s trophy but also walked away with a prize of Rs 50 lakh and a brand new Hyundai Creta.
