Amritpal Singh News: Security agencies put Amritpal posters at Indo-Pak international border, Attari | Amritsar News

AMRITSAR: Security agencies in Punjab have pasted fugitive Amritpal Singh‘s “wanted posters” at the Integrated Check Post (ICP) at Attari as well as on the railway stations of Gurdaspur and Amritsar.
The development comes after apprehension that he may cross the international border to Pakistan under the guise of a pilgrim, a businessman, a tourist, or even he may attempt to travel by train to some other destination.

Posters of the Khalistani orator where he is seen in at least eight different looks including clean shaven, with a beard, with and without headgear, are pasted at ICP while his posters wearing a “safa” and siropa (robe of honour) are pasted at Batala and Amritsar railway stations.
The posters having two mobile numbers read that “this photograph is of Amritpal Singh who is wanted by police in different cases. If anyone has information about him, it should be given to the below-mentioned phone numbers. The informers will be given an appropriate reward and the informer’s name will not be disclosed”.
While commenting on the possible attempt by Amritpal to flee to Pakistan, a senior intelligence officer said: “We can’t rule out the possibility of Amritpal making an attempt to flee to Pakistan along with a jatha in the guise of a pilgrim or with a group of business delegation or even as a tourist especially after SAD (A) president and Lok Sabha Member Parliament Simranjit Singh Mann’s advise to Amritpal to escape to Pakistan”.
Notably, Amritpal is on run since March 18 along with his close aide Papalpreet Singh . The duo separated on March 28 following which Papalpreet was arrested on April 10 from Kathunangal near Amritsar while Amritpal is still on the run. While police claim to have arrested the majority of persons wanted for aiding Amritpal but strangely, the self-styled Khalistani preacher continues to remain elusive and away from the clutches of law.
