Actress Sonarika Bhadoria tied the knot with Vikas Parashar, on February 18. The couple took the sacred vows in a private celebration at Ranthambore’s Nahargarh Palace. Vikas, who is a businessman by profession, and Sonarika got engaged in 2022 and have been planning for this special day for months. While the pictures from the festivities are nothing short of grand, the actress kept an eye out for sustainability as well.
Speaking to ETimes about her wedding, Sonarika said, “The highlight of the ritual was my outfit choice. I aimed to emphasise sustainable fashion, so I opted for my mother’s wedding attire — a timeless piece blending tradition and sentiment seamlessly. The intricate mehndi design mirrored varied emotions entwined in our union, crafting a tapestry of love on my hands.” For her mehendi, the actress opted for a green-hued short kurta, which she teamed with an embellished sharara and a matching dupatta. She added that her haldi ceremony was quite a pure event, and the guests thoroughly enjoyed the cocktail and sangeet ceremonies.
Recently, Sonarika Bhadoria shared some glimpses from her wedding with Vikas Parashar. The video showed the pair exchanging garlands during their varmala ceremony. For her wedding, Sonarika chose a red and gold lehenga with floral embroidery. She wore it with a half-sleeved choli featuring ancient thread lattice work. A sheer red dupatta with scalloped borders tucked around her head enhanced her appearance significantly. On the other hand, Vikas wore a gold embroidered sherwani and matching pyjama, teamed with a beige safa.
Earlier, the actress told ETimes that she and Vikas had been dating for about eight years. She shared, “When he proposed to me in May 2022 in the Maldives, it was just the two of us. Our families were extremely happy for us, but they also wanted to be a part of the celebration.” Since they both love the beach, the roka ceremony happened in Goa. Initially, they planned to have a beach wedding but later changed the destination.
Sonarika Bhadoria first appeared in the television show Tum Dena Saath Mera in 2011. She gained prominence as Goddess Parvati in the film Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, starring Mohit Raina as Lord Shiva. Jadoogadu, the actor’s Telugu debut, was released in 2015. She returned to Hindi television in 2018, most notably starring in Ishq Mein Marjawan.
