On the other hand, 21-year-old all-rounder Zak Foulkes received his maiden call-up to the national team, a testament to his impressive performances in domestic cricket, particularly his bowling figures for Canterbury and a batting strike rate that caught the selectors’ attention.
“We feel for both Finn and Adam, suffering injuries so close to the start of the tour. They have been strong performers for us in the T20 format since the last World Cup,” New Zealand coach Gary Stead said.”Our support staff and medical networks will be working closely with both players over the next few weeks to complete plans for their treatment and subsequent return to cricket.” This reshuffling occurs amidst New Zealand’s preparation for the five-match T20I series starting in Rawalpindi next Thursday, serving as a crucial phase for both teams in gearing up for the T20 World Cup scheduled in the United States and the West Indies in June.
