Amid people hurling accusations at Abdu Rozik for staging the events for attention, the singer shared how trolling affected his decision to call off the wedding.
Tajikistan singer Abdu Rozik’s decision to call off his wedding with ex-fiancee Amira a few days back came as a huge shock. While announcing the decision, Abdu cited cultural differences as the reason behind the same. Now, in a new interview, the singer and influencer has opened up about the constant trolling he and Amira have been facing ever since their engagement, which eventually affected their mental well-being, prompting them to call off the wedding.
Amid people hurling accusations at Abdu Rozik for staging the events for attention, the singer has come out setting the record straight about his wedding being called off. Speaking with ETimes, he said, “The trolling was the biggest reason for calling off my wedding. Amira was deeply affected by the negativity that followed our engagement announcement. This constant barrage of hate began to take a toll on her mental well-being and I couldn’t bear to see her continue to be a target.”
Abdu Rozik continued to highlight the constant scrutiny that led to their breakup as he added, “The trolling didn’t stop and it became clear that our relationship was suffering. I couldn’t envision a future together under such strain.”
Even the families of both Abdu Rozik and Amira were equally affected by the constant trolling, leading them to take a step back. Concluding his statement, the former Bigg Boss contestant reflected on the consequences of trolling. He said, “People need to realize that words can hurt more than they think. This wasn’t just about me; it affected our families and our future. I hope people understand that trolling has real consequences, and it’s not something that should be taken lightly.”
Posting his engagement pictures with Amira in May, Abdu Rozik had announced that his wedding would take place in July this year. However, the wedding plans were later postponed followed by the cancellation.
Abdu Rozik rose to fame after his stint in Bigg Boss 16 wherein he won hearts with his kind demeanour and engaging personality. Later, he was also seen making guest appearances on shows like Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 which gave a new boost to his music career. His songs like Ohi Dili Zor, Chaki Chaki Boron and more were showered with immense love from the audience.
