Veteran star Sudesh Berry revealed that his freshly introduced character Amarjeet Talwar will bring a new level of excitement in Vanshaj.
Sudesh Berry is ready to shake things up on the hit TV show Vanshaj with his new role as Amarjeet Talwar. In a recent chat with ETimes, Berry revealed that his character will bring a new level of excitement in the series. While Amarjeet is known for having a vibrant and fun loving personality, his arrival is expected to create major tension and give sleepless nights to the Mahajan family. The veteran star joined the show not only because he was attracted towards its gripping story and his intriguing character but also because he wanted to work with familiar faces like Puneet Issar, with whom he previously worked in Ramesh Sippy’s film Border.
Talking about why he agreed to be part of the daily soap, Berry explained, “I’ve been following Vanshaj for a while now and was quite impressed with the way the story has developed so far. So, when they approached me for this role, I immediately saw it as an exciting opportunity to dive into a character that intrigued me. What made it even more special was knowing I’d be working alongside Puneet. These factors made the decision rather easy. I’m thrilled to be a part of such a gripping project and can’t wait to begin this journey with the viewers.”
Sudesh Berry further shared how his role as Amarjeet Talwar will impact the show. According to him, his character will give Mahajans “sleepless nights,” as he sticks to his “usuls, my principles, whatever we decided in childhood.” Berry described his character as open minded, honest and direct, which sets him apart from the other characters in the show who are “hiding something because they are on the other side.” This creates tension because while the Mahajans are defensive, Amarjeet is confident.
Talking about his journey in the entertainment industry, Berry shares, “My journey is yet to start. I was launched in a film called Vansh in 1992 and I am still standing in that zone in 1992. I maintain it because I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. And I’m like my dad used to say, I follow his mantra. I’m the only actor in Bollywood, a friendless actor. I mean, I don’t run after to make friends. I’m my best friend and my best critic also.”
Other than Sudesh Berry and Puneet Issar, Vanshaj also stars Anjali Tatrari, Mahir Pandhi and Mohit Kumar, among others.
