During the ongoing Shark Tank India’s third season, many entrepreneurs have come on the stage, presenting a diverse range of ideas ranging from fashion innovations, and technological innovations to food businesses. This platform has been acting as a launching pad for many aspiring entrepreneurs, offering them a unique opportunity to seek investments from seasoned investors, known as the Sharks. One such interesting pitch showing a recent promotional clip shows the founders of FarmDidi, a company that specialises in homemade pickles and chutneys, intending to empower women in rural areas.
During their pitch, the founders shared their journey of leaving their respective corporate jobs to pursue the ambition of uplifting rural women. They also claimed that their brand, FarmDidi, was supporting about 10 lakh women in villages. The Sharks were curious about the business model and pricing strategy of the brand.
Anupam Mittal, one of the Sharks, inquired about the price of their chutneys compared to other products in the market. The founders revealed that their products were selling at a premium rate of Rs 800 per kg, which surprised Aman Gupta, another Shark on the show.
However, amid the promising numbers and impactful initiatives, the Sharks raised concerns regarding the brand’s vision and strategy for growth.
Namita Thapar, another Shark, expressed her doubts, questioning the pitch, to which the founder responded optimistically, “I think this brand can easily reach up to 50 crores online and also has great potential for exports.” Anupam then pointed out the absence of an action plan, asking if the founders had concrete ideas to execute their vision.

As the promo ended, viewers were left on the edge of their seats, wondering if the pitchers of FarmDidi would secure the investment or not.
