Sunil Grover Reveals Kiku Sharda Kept His Phone Off For 2 Days Because of Sunny Deol, Reason Will Leave You In Splits

The Great Indian Kapil Show is all set to return with its second season on Netflix on September 21. The upcoming season features several Indian comedians including Kapil Sharma, Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Rajiv Thakur, Krushna Abhishek and Archana Puran Singh. As fans wait for their daily dose of entertainment and laughter, the cast of TGIKS2 has shared some hilarious insights from the show.

Kiku Sharda, known for mimicking actor Sunny Deol on the show opened up about Sunny‘s reaction to his imitation, admitting that he was very scared, during an interview with Pinkvilla. Further, Kiku’s co-actor and comedian Sunil Grover shared, “Ye episode telecast ke do din tak apna mobile phone band rakha tha (He kept his mobile phone switched off for two days after the episode got telecast),” which left everyone in splits.

Kiku said, “I am very scared ki kahi call na aaye. Aisa toh kabhi koi call nahi aaya unka but I met him of course after doing whatever. But he’s very sweet. Unke saamne toh kabhi kiya nahi maine. Vo aaye bhi the hamare show par aur humne discuss kiya ki unke saamne toh nahi karenge. (I didn’t receive any call as such, but I met him, of course, after doing whatever needed to be done. He’s very sweet. I never performed it in front of him. He even appeared on our show and we discussed it that we wouldn’t do anything in front of him).” The F.I.R actor further added, “I was genuinely scared but he’s cool with it.”

A few days ago, Netflix dropped the trailer for the much-awaited season of The Great Indian Kapil Show. Hosted by Kapil Sharma, the new season is going to see a slew of Bollywood and Sports personalities hitting the couch.

This year’s celebrity guest lineup includes Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina, Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Jr NTR, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Kartik Aaryan, Karan Johar and more.

The first season of TGIKS premiered in March this year and featured celebs such as Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Sunny Kaushal, Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala and others.
