Sumbul Touqeer’s Late Birthday Post Is About Self-love

Sumbul Touqeer, who rose to fame after portraying the titular role in the show Imlie, is now captivating audiences in Kavya: Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon. Amid her busy schedule with the ongoing television drama, the actress actively engages her audience through social media posts regarding her personal and professional life. In a recent Instagram post, Sumbul Touqeer delighted her fans by sharing an old picture of her as the actress realised that she didn’t post anything for her 20th birthday.

Talking about the picture, Sumbul Touqeer can be seen simply dressed in a casual blue top, posing in a scenic background. However, it was the caption that caught fans’ attention. Reflecting on her 20th birthday, Sumbul Touqeer admitted, “Just realised that I didn’t post anything for my 20th birthday…so here’s an old picture of me looking back at my last 20 years and feeling nothing but grateful for all the opportunities I’ve got.”

Expressing gratitude for the myriad opportunities that have come her way, Sumbul Touqeer also imparted a piece of advice to her, urging a bit of selfishness. “And now I’m promising myself to be a little selfish, because that’s important too,” the actress added.

Sumbul Touqeer celebrated her 20th birthday on November 15 with joyous festivities on the set of her ongoing show, Kavya- Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon. The actress was pleasantly surprised, surrounded by cakes and the warm presence of her co-stars, father, and sister. Adorned in a vibrant blue saree, a video captured the delightful moment as Sumbul joyfully cut the birthday cakes amid the celebratory atmosphere.

During an interview with Pinkvilla, the actress was asked about the advice she would give her 16-year-old self if she could turn back time. Responding to the question, Sumbul Touqeer said, “People come and go in your life. Don’t get affected by that just move on.”

Sumbul Touqeer has now become a household name, initially entering the acting industry as a child artist in various shows, including Jodha Akbar, Har Mushkil Ka Haq Akbar Birbal, Aahat, and Birbal. However, after securing the lead role in Imlie opposite Fahmaan Khan, Sumbul earned recognition as a prominent actress in the industry.

Her fame and popularity soared to new heights when she participated in Bigg Boss 16 as a contestant. During her time inside the house, she made headlines for her bond with Shalin Bhanot.

Currently, the actress is seen as an IAS officer in Kavya: Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon. The show narrates Kavya’s story as an IAS officer grappling with the challenges of balancing work and personal life as a woman, emphasizing the immense responsibility of managing the country’s affairs.
