“I feel we women wherever we work we do it with guilt,” the actress expressed her perspective as a working mom.

Rupali Ganguly, who gained immense popularity for her role in the hit daily soap Anupamaa, recently showered praise on her husband, Ashwin K Verma, for his exemplary parenting skills. The actress shared in an interview about the challenges of juggling a thriving career with motherhood and lauded her husband’s role in their son’s upbringing.

In an interview with ETimes, Rupali shared, “I am very happy that my son has a father, who can look after him so well. He doesn’t let our son feel his mother’s absence. He is a better mother than me. I have just given birth to my son but maa toh mere husband hain (Mother is my husband). But yes, I do feel bad sometimes when we both are sitting and he comes and says, “Baapu, I want to do this and you feel so left out. I feel like “Hey I’m here.” There are few things that moms do and for those things when he starts asking his dad, it feels bad that even I’m here. But it is fine because he is taking care of our son so well.”

The actress also talked about feeling guilty as a working mom. “I feel we women wherever we work we do it with guilt. We are blessed to have husbands who are proud of us and who are such fantastic role models for our children,” she said.

This isn’t the first time Rupali has praised her husband. In a previous interview with Pinkvilla, she expressed pride in the fact that her husband is a homemaker. She shared, “My husband does everything. From cooking to everything and today he is the homemaker and I am very proud of the fact that he is the homemaker. So blessed am I.”

Rupali frequently shares pictures with her family on social media. A while ago, she celebrated her 47th birthday with them in Goa. She posted a group picture from their trip featuring her husband Ashwin, son Rudransh, brother, and mother. Alongside the photo, she wrote, “My world. Physically we came back… Mentally we’re still there… Goa diaries.”

In the TV series Anupamaa, Rupali has impressed the audience with her portrayal of a devoted wife and mother who navigates life’s complexities with grace and resilience. Off-screen, she shares a loving bond with her husband, Ashwin K Verma, whom she married in 2013. Together, they have a son named Rudransh.
