Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 First look | Power, expected price, launch details | TOI Auto
It gets twin shocks at the rear with five-step preload adjustability. While the Interceptor and Continental GT get a halogen head and tail lamp, the SM650 boasts LED units and also a USB charging port. It is powered by the company’s 648cc parallel twin that makes 47 hp at 7,250 rpm and 52.3 Nm at 5,650 rpm and is paired with a six-speed transmission.
The cruiser essentially gets two variants – Solo Tourer and Grand Tourer. The entry-level one gets a more minimalistic appeal as it does not get the chunky seat with a rear backrest for the pillion and a tall windscreen as the tourer version. Like all Royal Enfield motorcycles, the Super Meteor 650 gets a range of accessories to customise it for rider-only or two-up usage. We have ridden the Super Meteor 650 and a first ride review will be LIVE on the website and our YouTube channel at 8 PM tonight (16 January).
