Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das possibly played one of his very best Test innings on Sunday, August 1. Litton rescued Bangladesh in the 2nd Test match when the team was 26/6 in 12 overs, keeping the visitors alive in the game. The batter completed a tremendous century with a boundary against Abrar Ahmed in the 65th over of the game. Litton’s century came in 171 balls on Sunday, wiping off the deficit in the first innings of the game.
Litton brought up his century while batting with Hasan Mahmood. The batter had held the innings with Mehidy Hasan Miraz, when Bangladesh were 26/6 in the first innings, on the brink of their worst-ever team innings in Test cricket. The duo combined to put together 165 runs batting nearly 40 overs to dig Bangladesh out of trouble.
This was Litton’s 4th century in the Test format, his first in Pakistan, and it came at a time when Bangladesh needed him the most.
