Shweta Tiwari is set to return to TV with comedian Zakir Khan’s brand new show Aapka Apna Zakir. Fans are brimming with excitement to watch their favourite actress on the small screen. As the buzz around the show continues to escalate, a video has emerged online. The clip, featuring Shweta, showcases the actress in what appears to be a set of a show.

Before making her way to the sets, Shweta posed for the paparazzi, greeting them with a bright smile. ICYDW, Shweta Tiwari’s upcoming show Aapka Apna Zakir will go on air on Sony Entertainment Television. Touted to be a comic entertainer, the show also features a brilliant crew besides Zakir Khan and Shweta. Speaking about the show in a conversation with ETimes, the actress expressed excitement to explore comedy in the upcoming show. She shared, “I am excited to do a show like this after a long time, wherein viewers will get to see a new side of me. Comedy is currently evolving as a genre and I’ve always enjoyed being in the epicentre of change. When I was approached for Aapka Apna Zakir, I instantly said yes.”

Earlier last month, the makers of Aapka Apna Zakir dropped the first promo of the show. In the short glimpse, Zakir can be seen impersonating a politician, who assures people to bring entertainment for people of all ages. It was captioned, “Aapse milne aayega. Aur aap hi mein mil jaayega. Aapka Apna Zakir. Jald hi. Sirf #SonyEntertainmentTelevison par.” The makers are yet to announce the release date of the show.

Shweta Tiwari became a household name with her portrayal of Prerna in the Ektaa Kapoor show, Kasautii Zindagii Kay. The actress went on to prove her versatility in successful shows like Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi and Mere Dad Ki Dulhan. Her last TV show was Main Hoon Aparajita. As for her film career, she will be seen playing an intelligence officer in Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again.
