Amid the news of several Indian-origins found dead in the US, this came as a relief moment for all the Indians.
This week, two Indian-origins found dead in the US. One was 25-year-old Indian student, Mohammad Abdul Arfath was found dead in the city of Cleveland, US. Arfath, a native of Nacharam, Hyderabad, had traveled to the US in May last year to pursue a Master’s degree in IT at Cleveland University. Another Indian student was Uma Satya Sai Gadde, who was found died in mysterious circumstances in Cleveland, Ohio.
There have been a spate of incidents involving Indian-origin students in the US since the beginning of this year. Earlier, the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF), which has moved a petition seeking an independent FBI investigation into the deaths, provided a list of 12 Indian students who had died in the US.
GHHF has launched an online petition calling for the safety of Indian students in the US, and has so far received 5,895 signatures.
