Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations have begun today (September 7) across the country, and even our favourite stars are embracing the auspicious occasion with joy. Many actors have welcomed Lord Ganesha into their homes and shared festive wishes with fans through social media. After a hiatus of a few years, India’s Best Dancer 4 host Jay Bhanushali is also excited to celebrate the festival with his family.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Jay Bhanushali extended warm wishes to fans for Ganesh Chaturthi. He mentioned that after a gap of several years, his family is once again celebrating at home with great enthusiasm and fanfare. The actor said, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to everyone! We have always celebrated Ganpati Pooja at home, but for the past few years, we hadn’t been able to. However, starting this year, we are bringing back the tradition and will be celebrating Ganpati Pooja at our home with my family and relatives. I am really looking forward to this special time together.”
Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi and Ganesh Chauth, is one of the most widely awaited festivals in India, especially in Mumbai. The festival, which began today, concludes on September 17 with the Ganpati Visarjan. The immersion of the Ganesh idol in a water body symbolises Lord Ganesha’s return from his heavenly abode on Mount Kailash to be with his mother, Goddess Parvati.
On the work front, Jay Bhanushali is currently hosting the fourth season of the popular dance reality show, India’s Best Dancer. The show, which features Karisma Kapoor, Geeta Kapur, and Terence Lewis as judges, premiered on Sony Entertainment Television on July 13.
The actor gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Neev Shergill in Ektaa Kapoor’s show, Kayamath. He made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with the film Hate Story 2.
Jay Bhanushali is married to actress Mahhi Vij. They got married in 2011, and are parents to three kids — Khushi, Rajveer, and Tara.
