Jemimah’s fifty helps Trinbago Knight Riders reach final of Women’s CPL 2024

Jemimah Rodrigues showcased her batting prowess in a must-win game for the Trinbago Knight Riders Women on Tuesday, August 27, by hitting her maiden half-century in the Women’s Caribbean Premier League. Chasing a target of 131 set by the Barbados Royals, Jemimah played a match-winning knock of 59* runs off 50 balls, which included four boundaries. Her unbeaten innings was crucial in guiding the Knight Riders to a four-wicket victory, securing their spot in the Women’s CPL 2024 final.

The right-handed batter’s fifty came in a pressure-filled situation, as wickets kept falling at the other end. Jemimah’s composure and determination stood out, especially when she reached her half-century with a boundary in the 19th over. Facing Qiana Joseph, she chipped a flighted delivery over extra cover, sending the ball racing to the boundary.
