Anupamaa’s Nidhi Shah on Bigg Boss 17: ‘Love To Be Part Of The Show But I Haven’t Followed it’

Anupamaa has won the hearts of the audience since its debut in 2020. The current storyline has captivated viewers with unexpected twists, leading to a 5-year leap. In this leap, Kinjal (Played by Nidhi Shah) and Toshu (Played by Ashish Mehrotra) made a comeback. During an interview with a leading media outlet, Nidhi opened up on her return to the show and also shared her thoughts on participating in reality shows such as Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi.

When inquired about any favourites in the latest season of Bigg Boss, Nidhi shared with Etimes, “I haven’t followed this season of Bigg Boss, though it is trending and I watch those clips every time I open my social media. I learned about it while scrolling the reels. Honestly, the last time I watched Bigg Boss was Sidharth and Shehnaaz’s season Bigg Boss 13. I think it was the biggest hit and shall always be. People will remember it forever. After that, I haven’t watched it.”

She further said, “I would love to be a part of Bigg Boss but I haven’t followed it so much. I cannot see people fighting every day.”

Previously, Nidhi had expressed her thoughts on returning to Anupamaa, revealing that she hadn’t anticipated the comeback happening so soon. She mentioned that discussions happened that indicated more time before her return, especially with the upcoming storyline leap. She was informed about her return, aligning with the leap’s beginning. “This feels great to be back on set after a long break. I am enjoying being back and working again. I didn’t quit the show,” she added.

Anupamaa narrates the story of Anupama, who made significant sacrifices to be a loyal wife, a devoted daughter-in-law, and a loving mother. The cast includes Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey, Gaurav Khanna, Muskan Bamne, and others.

Nidhi Shah started her acting journey as a child artist in the 2011 web series That’s So Awesome. In 2013, she appeared in short roles in the 2013 Hindi films Mere Dad Ki Maruti and Phata Poster Nikhla Hero. The actress made her television debut in 2016 with Jaana Na Dil Se Door, where she portrayed the character of Shweta Kashyap. However, it was her notable performances as Poorva Sharma Shetty in Tu Aashiqui and Kinjal Dave Shah in Anupamaa that catapulted her to fame.
